Donita Brown is the President and Owner of MediateIT.com, based in Robertson County, located thirty minutes north of Nashville Tennessee. Donita is proud to mediate civil cases for those in and around the county she has called home her entire life. Her mediations take place in Springfield, Tennessee.

As a Rule 31 Listed Civil Mediator, Donita uses her Information Technology background and business expertise to help her clients with their technology disputes. She has experience with multiple facets of the IT field and has led large system implementations and integrations as a Project Director, as well as participated as a team member. Having worked within Telecommunication Integrators for the Federal and State Governments and Telecommunication Departments of Fortune 500 companies, Donita understands the complexity of the telecommunication industry.

Education:
Donita also holds a Masters of Business Administration from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. That coupled with her B.B.A in Accounting from Austin Peay State University (Clarksville, TN) allows her to fully understand the business impacts of technology decision and disputes. Donita is currently an adjunct professor for the Massey School of Business at Belmont. She teaches Management Communications, helping students learn to effectively communicate in the business world.

Community Activism and Organizational Involvement:
The local community is extremely important to Donita and she is very active, allowing her to make many connections and network with other mediators and gain access to mediation resources. She is a member of the Lions Club, the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce, and is actively involved in her church. She also serves as a volunteer community mediator at Sumner Mediation Services and Nashville Conflict Resolution Center, as well as serving as co-chair of the Membership Committee of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators.

Donita has given many presentations regarding mediation and information technology, continuously attends trainings on conflict resolution, and keeps Mediate IT’s blog updated with articles pertinent to the field of mediation. In addition to Mediate IT, Donita currently works in a part-time capacity at the State of Tennessee as a Business Architect.
